Aref stresses Iran's readiness for private sector-centered exchanges with Eurasia

The First Vice President stated that at the Eurasian Union Prime Ministers' Meeting, he voiced Iran's readiness for private sector-centric exchanges, and in particular, a barter strategy with neighboring countries.

"The regional economies can complement each other, and we need these countries in various sectors, and they also need the scientific, technological, and industrial products of the Islamic Republic of Iran," Aref said in Tehran on Friday upon his return from Bishkek.

Aref returned from Kyrgyzstan, where he had traveled to participate in the Eurasian Economic Union Council of Prime Ministers meeting.

In explaining the achievements of this visit, Aref said, "The Eurasian region is one of the priorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran due to the characteristics of the region, its common cultural and historical civilizational area, and its long-standing relations with this region."

He added that fortunately, after accepting the observer membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this union and also implementing the free trade agreement, Iran has had a leap in economic and trade exchanges with member countries of this union, and it is necessary to bring the exchanges to a favorable state in consultation with other countries.

The First Vice President continued, "At the Eurasian Union Prime Ministers' Meeting, I presented the Islamic Republic of Iran's views on regional and economic issues."

Aref clarified, "Negotiations were held to better involve the private sector in the area of visa waivers, and consultations were held with countries to which we do not have direct flights regarding the establishment of these flights."

He pointed out that at the Eurasian Union Prime Ministers' meeting, the Zionist regime's brutal aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the regime's crimes in Gaza were raised in order to reach a consensus to help the oppressed people of Gaza.
