Iranian hospitals to provide free healthcare for children under 7

Starting April 27, all government hospitals and affiliated university facilities are obligated to offer admission, treatment, surgeries, diagnostic procedures, and discharge services free of charge for insured children under seven years old.

The services also include examinations, laboratory tests, imaging, rehabilitation, and the use of neonatal screening kits.

The president of Yazd University of Medical Sciences announced the free healthcare for insured children under seven in government hospitals and university-affiliated units.

Seyyed Mehdi Hashemi Bajgani stated that this action aligns with the government's policies to provide affordable and adequate medical services to the public.

Hashemi emphasized that the decision to provide free healthcare for children under seven, particularly in deprived and rural areas, was approved by the Supreme Insurance Council.
