Referring to the Israeli regime’s threat against a passenger aircraft carrying Lebanese citizens, which disrupted ordinary national flights to Beirut Airport, Baghaei described the regime's action as violations of international law and Lebanon's national sovereignty.
He urged relevant international organizations, including International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), to take action to stop Israel's dangerous behavior against national aviation security.
Earlier in an interview, Mojtaba Amani, Iran’s ambassador in Lebanon, said that two weekly flights from Iran to Beirut were cancelled on Thursday.
He criticized the Lebanese government for finding an alternative flight for Iranian planes.
The Lebanese authorities had promised to resolve the issue but left the Lebanese passengers stranded at Tehran Airport.
The move coinciding with the Israeli army spokesman's claims that the flights were carrying illegal goods or cash, led to widespread protests in Lebanon.
