The member states of the G7 — especially the three permanent members of the UN Security Council — must accept their legal and moral responsibility regarding a blatant act of aggression against a member of the United Nations and speak out clearly about the facts.
Israel’s aggressive attack against Iran is a severe blow to the UN Charter and international law based on it, and it has unprecedentedly undermined the foundations of the nuclear non-proliferation regime and the legal protection this regime is supposed to provide to non-nuclear countries against such attacks.
