In a joint statement released Thursday, a coalition of Palestinian resistance factions, led by the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), condemned the Israeli regime's so-called "Security Cabinet’s" approval of prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to seize Gaza City.
The PRC said the decision “exposes the height of the regime’s crisis,” adding that Israel “has not achieved any of its goals in the ongoing genocidal war.”
“The decisions of war criminal Netanyahu aimed at the occupation of the Gaza Strip are a clear instruction for genocide, and mark the completion of war crimes, destruction, murder, and slaughter,” it added.
Resistance groups vowed to continue armed struggle, rejecting all foreign military presence as a tool of occupation and pledging that any invading force “will be treated as an enemy” and met with “defeat and destruction.”
The Popular Resistance Committees emphasized that resistance factions must keep their weapons as they confront the Zionist regime's occupation.
“The weapons of resistance will remain in its hands until Palestinian lands are liberated from the clutches of the [Israeli] occupation,” the PRC noted.
The statement further notes, “No force on earth will be able to disarm us. These weapons are the legacy and will of our martyrs. Their mission is to liberate occupied territories and restore the trampled rights of the Palestinian nation.”
The PRC underlined that the Zionist enemy will not be able to secure the release of its captives being held by Gaza-based resistance group except through negotiations.
“We call on the entire Muslim Ummah to declare a general mobilization, and pour onto the streets in support of Gaza, and our brethren and sisters who are dying as a result of incessant bombardment and severe hunger,” the statement concluded.
In a separate statement, the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement said the Israeli decision is aimed at the continuation of the genocidal war in Gaza.
“The aggressive Zionist decisions once again reiterate that the Zionist regime's cabinet is the main factor in bringing the negotiation process to a standstill.
“Gaza will resist any occupation or aggressor force, and will never submit to a mandate. Any expansion of aggression will not be easy for aggressors,” the movement noted.
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement stressed that the weapons of resistance groups belong to Palestinian people, and will remain in their hands in the struggle against aggressors until full liberation is achieved.
At least 61,258 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and another 152,045 individuals injured in the brutal Israeli onslaught on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
