Iranian cultural presence illuminates ‘Tao of Water’ exhibition in Vienna

Iran's participation in the international art exhibition ‘Tao of Water’ at Vienna's historic Wasserturm tower highlighted the nation's rich cultural heritage and its commitment to global dialogue on sustainability and philosophy.

The exhibition, which opened on September 16, 2025, brought together over 40 artists from around the world to explore the significance of water as a symbol of life and harmony, ISNA reported.

In his address, Reza Gholami, Iran's Cultural Attaché to Austria, emphasized the profound role of water in Iranian civilization.

He noted that in Persian culture, water transcends its physical properties, embodying purity, renewal, and spiritual balance. "Water is not merely a necessity; it is a symbol of life and harmony," Gholami added, reflecting on its central place in Persian gardens and poetry.

The exhibition served as a platform for artists and scholars to engage in meaningful discussions about the interconnectedness of nature, culture, and philosophy.

Gholami stressed the event's role in bridging Eastern and Western perspectives, fostering mutual understanding and respect among diverse cultures.

Through its participation, Iran reaffirmed its commitment to cultural diplomacy and environmental sustainability, reinforcing the importance of art and dialogue in addressing global challenges.

The ‘Tao of Water’ exhibition not only showcased artistic expressions but also facilitated a deeper appreciation of water's symbolic and practical significance across cultures.
